Backbend & Brunch

You are invited to a festive yoga workshop to celebrate the beginning of the season. Learn to safely move the curve of the spine through juicy backbends that not only energise the physical body increasing strength and mobility but allow us to access our subtle body with heart opening releases. Awaken the heart in the lead up to Christmas and join us for a fun filled day of wellness amidst the chaos of the season. Play, experiment and enjoy a white winter plant-based feast made with love and Christmas spirit.

Workshop

Backbends are an amazing way to open the chest, encourage mobility and strenghten the spine. On a physiological level chest openers are a perfect counteract to everyday posture. Philosophically heart openers are associated with anahata chakra, the energy centre for love and compassion. In this workshop Rachael will teach safe methods to add backbends to your yoga practice. Options will be given, modifications and the benefits for each pose. The workshop is suitable for everyone from those new to yoga and those with some yoga knowledge looking to further develop their journey.

Food

Learn and taste the benefits of plant-based eating with Melanie. Enjoy a delicious white winter feast with a festive spin. The menu includes nourishing winter salads and seasonal recipes that are fun and delicious. A healthy take on gingerbread, Christmas cookies and the traditional mince pie. Think cranberries, sweet and fragrant spices, oranges and mint. Get ideas for your own Christmas baking- recipes will be shared!
